Iraq launches first strike with F-16s

General Dynamics F-16 Fighting Falcon operated by Iraq joins strikes for the first time.


On Sunday, 6th September 2015, Iraq has acquired new fighters such the F-16 Fighting Falcon in large numbers to perform autonomous military operations. The total number of aircraft that the Iraq bought is 36. By July 2015, Iraq already started training with the first four Iraqi F-16s.

Surprisingly, it seems that on Sunday, Iraq has started to involve in military operations at least some of the newly purchased aircrafts.
