Strategic Command 3 is making progress in the quest for being one of the best grand strategy wargames inspired in the WW2. The AI, for example, seems very competent and allows you certain degree of enjoyment. The game has options for counters and 3D icons or models. Personally, I find the 3D models more appealing than counters for this game, probably because there is no stacking option. The problem is the lack of integration between armies and corps, a simple feature that even boardgames such as Axis Empires has.

As you can see in the game, it seems very easy to add your own 3D models for different types of units, airplanes or armor and they can change automatically when being upgraded, showing a kind of evolution. But the most difficult part was to distinguish armies from corps using sprites or 3D models. For that reason, I added the red/black/white symbol at the left bottom of each Army that denotes Army unit. I also added a bigger one for the HQ indicating Army Group commander. Note also some 3D models corresponding to Panzer III, Stuka, Me-109 and Do-217.
